Mario Sergio Cutait, Chairman of the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) for two consecutive terms from 2012 – 2015, was recognised by the IFIF Board of Directors for his outstanding leadership as IFIF Chairman.
As Chairman, Mr. Cutait led the successful development or IFIF’s new Strategy, Vision, Mission and Goals, and positioned IFIF to effectively address the important opportunities and challenges facing the feed industry in the future. IFIF further strengthened its existing relationships with international organisations, including with the FAO, as well as embraced new cooperation agreements, such as with the OIE. The 4th Global Feed and Food Congress in Sun City in 2013, the continued success of IFIF’s International Feed Regulators Meetings, and the preparation for the 5th GFFC in Turkey in 2016 highlight the increasing appeal and strength of IFIF.
Under his leadership, IFIF almost doubled its membership and increased its geographical reach thanks in large part to Mr. Cutait’s strong ambassadorial work on behalf of IFIF and his emphasis on key regions, such as Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Mr. Cutait was first elected at the IFIF General Assembly in October 2011, and then unanimously re-elected for a second term of office for 2014-2015 in Ocotber 2013.
He was the founder and President of Feedlatina, the Latin American Feed Industry Association and former President of Sindirações, the Brazilian Feed Industry Association.
Mr. Cutait is a Director of the Brazilian M.CASSAB business group, where he is responsible for a number of business units, including Animal Technology. He is also Director of FIESP – Federação das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo – Agribusiness Department.
