ICCF launches public consultation on ‘ADME Evaluation in the context of risk assessment of feed ingredients’

Jan 23, 2024

An Expert Working Group of the International Cooperation for Convergence of Technical Requirements for the Assessment of Feed Ingredients (ICCF) composed of experts drawn from the ICCF founding members has developed a new guidance document on ‘ADME Evaluation in the context of risk assessment of feed ingredients’.

The ICCF Steering Committee adopted the draft Guidance Document for Public Consultation on 09 January 2024.

The Public Consultation on the Guidance Document ‘ADME Evaluation in the context of risk assessment of feed ingredients’ is now open for comments by interested stakeholders until 23 February 2024. Stakeholders are invited to submit their comments, using the feedback document available below.

The draft guidance document provides recommendations on how to approach the evaluation of the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of constituent entities contained in the feed ingredient in the context of consumer safety assessment. It provides a stepwise approach, leading, if necessary to ADME Studies on laboratory animals and/or target species.

The draft ICCF Guidance Document and feedback document are available at the following link:

About ICCF

The International Cooperation for the Convergence of Technical requirements for the Assessment of Feed Ingredients (ICCF) was created in 2017.
